How does it feel to know everyone’s date of death in the whole world? Numbers, written by Rachel Ward, is a book that keeps you in suspense from the very beginning until the end of the book. A book tells the story about 15-year-old Jem, a girl who does not like relationships, and Spider, a guy who is an outsider.

I really enjoyed reading this book because I could not stop reading it since I had sat and started to read. Jem is a girl who has a strange power, when she looks into someone’s eyes she can see numbers, which create a date; a date of that person’s death. The books gets more tension when Jem and Spider are waiting in a queue for a ride on the London Eye. Jem discovers that every single person has the same date… That day’s date.

Another reason why I liked this book, is that Ward writes the book in quite simple language with no complex words, which is easy to understand and thus is perfect for teenagers.

If you would like to know what happens afterwards, you should read this book. I would recommend it to everybody, not only teenagers, but adults as well.

Hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apollo 18 is a cross between a science fiction movie and a horror movie. From what we know Apollo 17 was the last space shuttle to be sent to the moon for scientific reasons, however, this movie suggests that there was a rocket that was sent to the moon with a special objective.

I love this movie because it has a lot of suspense. By which I mean, we never know what is going to happen. For instance, while installing classified scientific material they find an unexpected foot print, which suggests that someone unassociated from their mission has been there. Then they start to lose communication with mission control in Huston, before developing strange symptoms. It is so exiting because you always try to guess what is going happen but you are never right.

Another reason why I like this movie is that I love history and conspiracy theories, and this movie combines both. The movie was based on a website called Lunarthruth.com, which suggests that the official story of the moon landings is not true.  Apollo 18 is filmed in a documentary style and looks really realistic, as a consequence it looks scarier than ever.

I would recommend this movie because I would call it a “most see” movie, mostly because it’s amazing.  Although only 18+ can watch it I still think it is appropriate to some teenagers. It is a great movie and as a lot of knowledge in the movie, it is not only a horror stupid movie but a film were you have to think to understand the whole story.

is a German book and means in English Call of the deep sea. A guy calls Leon and his friends are work for a secret company in the deep sea. The story takes place in year 2070 where young people are able to dive very deep in the sea more than 1000 meters. If you are older than 20 years the ability to dive deep in the sea doesn’t work anymore. The company is very deep under water 1000 of meters. Leon is one of the best and important people to find raw materials in the deep sea. Leon’s best friend is an octopus and the octopus is more than 5 years old, they are communicate with show of hands. Leon finds out that the company killed his parents and also some other very bad thing that the company did in the sea. After that he found this out he got in really big trouble with the company, and he is in live danger!

If you want to know the end, read the book. I really like this book because it is the whole time exiting and it doesn’t have too many pages. It is one of the best books that I have read jet.

Troy (2004)

Around the year -1200 BC, Agamemnon, king of Mycenae, Greece is trying to unite, using in particular the strength of Achilles. His brother Menelaus, king of Sparta, made peace with the two Trojan princes; Hector and Paris, son of King Priam are his guests. But Paris has an affair with Helen of Sparta, wife of Menelaus, who decides to leave with him. Enraged, Menelaus asks his help to Agamemnon who saw his interest: he plans to take the city of Troy. The two kings convince all the Greek leaders to follow, including Ulysses and Achilles, who knows by his mother that he will die at Troy but who dreams of  glory that will survive for centuries.

It is a great film as there is a lot of action and fight. With this film, we can understand more how the war was. In this movie there is a lot of well-known actor as Brad Pit and Orlando Bloom. Surely it won’ be the film of the century but it is still a great one. The film has also a lot of love scenes that shows Achilles humanity.

I really recommend that film as it is a good one but also because it makes us understand more why this war happened and how it was. I really loved this film because there is a lot of fights and war scenes. You should all watch it.

Lover Boy

The film lover boy is about a girl who is 17 years old and she went to a new school. She had problems with the friends of her old school. Her name is Shelly, she is always fighting with her mom and her dad left when she was very young. After a while she feels really upset and then he comes. She fell in love with him and there it all started. He is buying presents for her, he is telling her that she is the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and he is saying that he will buy her a house and that he wants to marry her. One day she has a huge fight with her mom and she moved to her boyfriend without her mom knowing it. The lover boy is telling her how amazing she is and she believes him. He said that she had to stop with school, because he will earn money. Finally he is telling her that he has problems with money and that she has to earn it for him. First she doesn’t want to do it, but then he said that it was just one time and that they would go to Paris after she made love with someone. When she came back they went to Paris, but what she didn’t know that she had to work for him and make love with more guys. She couldn’t go back, because he took her passport. Finally she escaped and went in a truck with a woman who brought her home. Lover boy is a nice and realistic film, of course not all the girls get saved, but it is also a good movie for teenager that they have to watch out for some guys and to not trust a guy right away.

Mary Horowitz (Sandra Bullock), is socially awkward and considers her pet hamster her only true friend, so her parents decide to set her up on a blind date with the guy they thing is gay. Mary’s expectations were very low, but when she saw him she immediately changed her mind and she found love on the first sight. But, Steve Muller (Bradley Cooper), who is the blind date, who works as a cameraman for the television news network CCN, really can’t stand her. Thus Steve fakes a phone call about covering the news out of town. Trying to get Mary out of his truck, he tells her he wishes she could be there. After Mary is looking for him and the script get funnier and funnier.

This movie is very funny and it is one of the best movies I have seen this year because there is a lot of humor, which I really I like in films. I also like how the characters have completely different opinions about each other, which makes some moment very awkward and funny.

Another reason I like this movie is because there is a lot of the characters. Sandra Bullock is a very good actress, and Bradley Cooper is a very funny actor. These characters have a lot of passion for what they are doing and it is very well preformed.

I suggest that you see this movie because of three reasons. Firstly I suggest this movie because it has humor and loads of funny jobs. The second reason why is suggest this movie is because there are a lot of awkward moment which are funny and serious. Lastly I suggest this film because the main characters are very good.

I watched the movie Despicable Me created by CHRIS MELEDANDRI. Despicable me is about an evil guy called Gru that tries to TAKE OVER THE WORLD by stealing the moon with some help of a shrink ray (to make the moon small), three children and the minions or as he calls them “his cousins”.

One reason why I like this movie is because often the main character is kind and strong but in this movie the main character, Gru is clumsy and evil which is HILARIOUS! Gru gets beaten by his enemy, an evil little boy (which not is kind of usual) bitten by his “dog” and a lot more fun things!

Another reason why this movie is hilarious is because of THE MINIONS, which are small yellow figures. They do not speak English so they say, “be bak” instead of “toy” which makes me laugh every time I see it.

I think you should watch this movie because it’s funny and great for people in ALL ages!

The devil wears Prada is a movie which I have just seen.

It is about a girl, named Andy, that has just graduated. Andy starts working as a junior personal assistant from Miranda Priestly. Miranda own a fashion magazine with the name Runway. First Miranda does not like Andy because Andy does not wear the newest fashion and also because she does not know what she has to do at that job. Since she doesn’t have the money to buy all the clothes, she goes to a man in work who makes all the clothes which are shown in the magazine. She convinces him to borrow her the clothes so that she can wear always the newest fashion. Her boyfriend is very disappointed because Andy seems to not have any time left for him because always when Miranda calls her she runs to her to do what she wants. Later the senior assistant from Miranda has a horrible injury and can’t work for Miranda anymore. For a few weeks, Andy gets the senior assistant of Miranda and Miranda starts to like her. Andy is happy but her boyfriend and friends don’t like her anymore because Miranda does all the time what Miranda says. Is she going to stay with Miranda or is she going to go back to her old life?

Watch the movie to see what she decides to do. It is a very good movie with comedy but also with drama.

A book I have read over the winter holiday is called Rubin rot. It is a German book written by Kerstin Gier. It is a fantasy, love book for girls of an age of 12-13 years. There is also a movie and two more books.

There are lots of characters in this book but the most important one is Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn is 16 years old and has 2 little siblings; one little sister called Caroline and one little brother called nick. She has a best friend called Leslie who knows everything about this secret. Gwendolyn’s cousin charlotte is the one everyone thought had the power and her mother Glenda is a very mean and strict person. Gwendolyn’s mother however is very nice and does everything to help Gwendolyn.

The main character is Gwendolyn. She is 16 years old and has a special family. They think that her cousin Charlotte has a special power and she can travel to the past. All her life she has been trained for this but then suddenly they find out that it is not Charlotte who has this power it is Gwendolyn. All the family is shocked and Gwendolyn is not prepared for this yet. This gets very dangerous for her.

She doesn’t know who do meet the king or speak 4 different languages fluently.  A group of experts try to help her however it is very difficult. She and her partner Gideon have to travel to the past to finish an important mission. But then she falls in love with him, which makes this situation a lot more complicated. Both of them have to be very careful and act like they are from the middle ages otherwise thy could get killed very easily Gwendolyn’s cousin Charlotte and Charlottes mother Glenda are very mat at Gwendolyn because she has the special power and not her cousin.

I really like the book because it is interesting, funny and sad at some parts.

I’ve seen the movie Sound like teen spirit, this is a movie about Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007. I really like that the songs were made by the children. I think it’s more exiting and interesting than if adults were singing their songs.

One thing I liked was that when I watched the children sing I could sympathize and understand how it would be to sing in front of an audience because I sang in front of an audience one time but not alone. I think that it’s amazing that they can sing in front of whole Europe. I am surprised that the songs the children wrote were as good as they are!

Another thing I liked was that the four people they focused on told us about their lives and not everyone had an easy life, one was getting bullied, another one knew that her dad wouldn’t look when she preformed but he would tell her that he did. I do think that’s sort of important to see that too…

I thought this movie was great and I recommend you to watch it, especially because your not just seeing the final Eurovision contest ­­­, you’ll also learn about the contestant’s background.
