This month I read a book which is called “The Hunger Games”. I am sure that most people in this school read this book but I’ll still talk about it. So, the setting is set in the future. Each year, one boy and one girl from each district go to the hunger games.  The hunger games are to mention for all districts how they attacked the capital and how they lost. The main character is Katniss. When her sister ticket was held up, she volunteered to go instead of her sister to save her life. Another main character is Peeta, a baker’s son. Katniss falls in love with him, but unfortunately she will have to kill him.

I like this book because it has a lot of strange places, everyone does their best, but the only thing you don’t usually find in adventure books is jokes. Even if there are not a lot of them, especially in the ending, they are really funny. Obviously, it is an adventurous book, it is really exciting and you cannot stop reading it, you cannot talk about it in a few sentences. You have to say everything, otherwise your friend cannot understand.

Also, I like this book because there are so many different characters and each one has such a different personality, it makes the book more interesting and if you know all of them and you can see which one is which one, you can see how they look and find out some characteristics. I liked all of them, especially Rue, because she was so friendly to Katniss and they helped each other.

You should really read this book because it is fascinating. After you read the book, you could watch the movie, but don’t watch movie first because it can get confusing. I think, this book is mainly for teenagers but a bit younger kids can watch it too. So don’t miss the best book and movie in the world!

“The hunger games” is a story set in the future, where 2 young kids from each district (1 boy and 1 girl) had to compete against each other. In total there were 12 districts. The movie, which is also a book, is an adventure-action story. The main character is Catness from district 12. Her little sister gets picked to compete in the hunger games. Catness however doesn’t want her to compete since only 1 of 24 survives; she volunteers to take her place. Therefore she becomes districts 12s first volunteer. There are also the sponsors who are the only people aloud to “help” them by giving the things during the hunger games.

I think that you should read or watch this story because it is very “catching”. I personally found it very interesting and entertaining because there was always something happening. My favourite part was when she was showing the sponsors her shooting abilities. In her first try she missed but her second try she shot exactly in the middle. Unfortunately the sponsors weren’t looking; the next time therefore she decided to shot the apple in the pigs mouth to impressed the sponsors. The sponsors were very shocked since they didn’t expect that.

I also really liked the movie because there were many emotional parts. For example when Rue, the little girl from district 11 (Rue is the youngest competitor) dies because someone else killed her. Catness was very said because they were working together and she really liked her. Therefore she put flowers all over Rue, so that she dies in “peace”. But that not the only said part there are many more and many people dying.

Another reason of why I liked the hunger games was because the movie/book was set in the future and everything was so different to now. I thought that it was very interesting and funny to see how all the people were dressed and to see the buildings or new inventions.

“The hunger games” is one of my favourite movies because of all these reasons above. In addition I would really recommend you to watch or read this book because I personally thought that it was amazing.

I know that most or leets say everyone like games, it does not matter what type of game even old people play games, for example chess etc. However do you think game is good. Because everyone play!.

There are different types of game, for different people and different ages. Games are good to take you out of the real life, all of the games are good for your brain, however they can also be really bad and not only for your helth but also for your personality, school or even agressivity. This happens as soon as you start to lose controll of the game time played or if you are easily influenced by other people, depending on the game it can be really bad and really dangerous there are stories about people that murder others after playing to much of a game, I wont name the games, moreover you can see how prejudicial a game can be. To kill someone else it is really bad, in my opinium, games are good and everyone should play, but as I said controlled, even by parents if possible, because they know the good and bad games for you, obvious if that was the case some of us would not be allowed to play some guys such as COD (call of duty), and others war games, because for some parents that is making the players think about war and it does not help the player in anything. What the do not know is that all the games are created to work our mind and also, so we enjoy, For example COD is a war game, but we traine our strategy, our reflex, aim, we can even improve our math, for the reason that the game requers the timing, etc.

Just so you are sure games are really good, just do not leet them be part of your life, do not stop going to school just to play game, or do not stop to have social life because of game, because the people that stop to have social life because of game are considered a no life, because they only think about game, so play but have a control of your self. I know a lot of people that prejudicated their life because of games, but now they are over it. Life is good, fames too, so watch out to not become a no life.

During Eastern holidays I watched one of my favorite books at the cinema:  The Hunger Games (directed by Gary Ross.) The plot of the Hunger Games is set in the future. Every year one young boy and one young girl from a “district” are picked at random to fight until death in an arena. The Hunger Games is a punishment from a previous rebellion against the wealthiest capitol.  The main character: Katniss, volunteered herself for the event in place of her younger sister. In the hunger games she meets Peeta and fall deeply in love with him even though she knew she had to kill him at one point to gain survival. During her adventure, Katniss made new friendships learned new things and discovered more about herself.

In both the movie and the book, Rue is my favorite character due to many things.  First of all she is Katniss’s hero because she cured her injuries, and took care of Katniss to survive and to get better for a few days. Rue is a very selfless character: she would rather help her opponent than killing him. I actually liked Rue more in the movie because she seemed more innocent and selfless. Katniss also appeared to be one of my favorite characters. With her braver and individuality she won the hunger games and became the hero of the movie.  Obviously I really like the heroes in book/movies.

The movie had lots of great moments and scenes, but I particularly liked the moment where my two favorite characters met.  I really enjoyed watching Rue and Katniss helping each other to survive as their friendship grew strongest. Sadly their friendship did not last really long, Rue got trapped and killed in Katniss’s arms by another opponent. It was a really emotional scene due to Rue’s death and goodbye to Katniss. I also liked the first moment of the movie when the two teens of the districted are getting chosen. Even though I knew who was going to be chosen, it was really intense. When Katniss stood up for her sister was a really emotional moment and it really involved the spectators to feel really bad.

I really recommend everyone to watch the movie because it is a unique movie with lots of tension and rebounds! It can be for all kind of people but mainly teens.  I would also recommend reading the book as well to understand the movie more properly.

I’ve watched the movie Mamma Mia, it’s a movie based on ABBA’s songs. Mamma Mia is about a girl called Sophie and her mum who live on a island. Sophie, the bride wants her dad to come to her wedding. She only have one problem, she don’t know who her dad is…

I like this movie because it’s exiting. You really want to know what’s going to happen next. For example, Sophie reads her mum’s diary she find out who her dad can be, although they are three. So Sophie invites them all to the wedding.

Another reason I love this movie is because it’s based on ABBA’s songs. So they sing and dance almost all the time. One example is when Sophie has her hen-party and her mum and her friends are singing “super trouper” and everyone is dancing.

I love this movie and I really recommend you to watch this great movie for everyone, especially for you who like singing and dancing!

This month I watched a film called “Journey to the center of the Earth”. Trevor Anderson is a volcanologist from Boston and he has 13-year-old nephew called Sean and he has to spent  ten days with his uncle. Sean`s mom gives Trevor a box of several things that belonged to Max, Sean’s dad and Trevor’s brother. Max suddenly disappeared ten years ago. They find a book called ‘’Journey to the middle of Earth” by Jules Verne. Inside it they find notes written by Max. Notes lead them to Snaefell, a volcano in Iceland. Adventures begin.

I like this movie because it is always mysterious. You never know what can happen next because there can be two ways to continue. Sometimes they disagree and seem to break apart in two groups but after they continue together.

Other reason I like it is because it teaches you about the Earth, its materials inside it and also about volcano logistic and gems. Actually, you can even become a clever human!

You should watch this movie because you will have different mind about the Earth and you will learn to trust each other in dangerous minutes. Watch it!

The premier league…. What a good league it is. The PL has been officially said to be the best football league in the world. This league contains many of the best teams in Europe, for instance Manchester United/city, Arsenal, Chelsea, ect…. The football played in the Pl is great, from the bottom teams to the top teams you can be sure to see a good game. The premier league is, obviously, the English league.

One reason I really like to watch the English league is because it is well structured, for instance the English league is divided in four leagues: league two, league one, Championship, Premier league. All of these going from lower to higher. This enables to see four different types of football, if for instance I want to watch a more intense game, I could watch the PL, or if I wanted to watch a more relax game I could watch the League one or the Championship.

Another reason I really like the PL is because the football played there is amazing. When watching a premier league game you cannot feel relaxed, it is like a final. Every game is so important for the teams that they always give their best, and that reminds me of a final.

To summarize, you should watch the Premier league or any of the other three leagues below the PL, because you are always sure to be watching a final, and you have the opportunity to watch many of the best players in the world.

Facebook is a website where you can post what you are doing or what you are feeling. You can take pictures and upload them to Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in February 2004. In the month February 2012, Facebook has more than 845 million active users. Users must register before using the site, after which they may create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages with them.

A reason why I like this website is because you can share everything with your friends even if they are far away from you. For example, I keep in contact with my Greek friends through Facebook. Another reason why I like this social network is because it is free. I like this because previously if I wanted to talk to my friends, I had to text them or call which cost a lot of money

For those of you that aren’t singed up on Facebook, I suggest that you take a look at this social network because of three reasons. Firstly, because you can keep in touch with the people you love and are far away from you. Secondly, because it is free and you don’t have to pay money to access it.  Lastly because you can see what your friend are thinking and what they are doing. The only problem with Facebook is that some people change their character when they are on Facebook, and they become mean or dirty.

This moth I will write about the Guinness World record 2012, the Guinness World record 2012 is as the name is saying about making a record. It could be whatever record you like, for example to climb on the Mount Everest or making the biggest cake. People how want to make a record are written down in the Guinness World record. Every year there are new Guinness World records and the one that I was reading was the one from 2012. If you get nominated you get a price, the price is mostly money and also they write you done in the book. The nice thing of Guinness World record is that there are records form sport, food, animals, universe and humans. In my opinion the best record is from a deep sea diver that dived 130 meters deep. The first book of Guinness World record was made in year 1955. I have the book from 2005 and in the library you can find the new one,  it really interesting  to see that people and animals can do.

Elles is a touchy drama film directed by a Polish woman, Malgorzata Szumowska. The film tells the story about a journalist for the Elle magazine, played by Juliette Binoche, who has to write an article about girls who are at the universities in Paris, but because they have no money to pay for they studies, they need to become prostitutes. During her work on the article, Anna meets two girls; Charlotte (Anais Demoustier) and Alicja (Joanna Kulig) who are willing of having a better life through selling their bodies. Throughout the investigation, Anna is drawn into the world of paid-love which is disgusting and seductive at the same time.

I decided to write an review about this film because I really like its topic, it is not another film about easy love but it brings up the topic about the difficult life of young women who have to make difficult decisions about their future. I really enjoy films which are not happy from the beginning until the end and are not the kinds of films that you laugh when you watch them, but the films which actually make you think about life.

Another reason which influenced me on choosing this film is the facts that the film was directed by a Polish woman. Nowadays, the world of cinema is really well developed and there is a wide range of films which are really good, however, Poland is not a great country which has a bunch of great directors. I think that the film has gained a lot because of French and Polish actors who played really good. Juliette Binoche, the main actress, is a well known person in the world of film and won a couple of awards.

I think that the film is worth watching and I really recommend it to everyone, however, younger kids should not watch it yet.
