The movie “Supersize Me” is about a guy who is taking part in a very special experiment. In this experiment he has to eat only and for 30 days just McDonald food. He’s not allowed to eat anything else apart from what is on the supersize menu. With this experiment they want to find out how much fast food harms our body .During the whole experiment they record his blood levels and the lever levels.

I liked this movie because it was interesting to see the development of the body after eating so much junk food. I never thought that it would harm the body that much. It was obvious that it is not healthy but that it would have such bad consequences; I didn’t think that would happen. But even the doctors didn’t expect that. In effect if he would have continued to eat unhealthy food he would have gotten in even more serious problems.

Another thing about which they talk is nutrition in schools. This is a very important topic about which is not talked a lot about. Every school has the problem of offering healthy and tasty food, but usually healthy food is not appreciated a lot because it is not as tasty as fast food for example. But in this movie they are talking about the problem and trying to change it and open they eyes of the people.

If you are interested in nutrition and health care then you should watch this movie. If you want to know what health problems the guy had after 30 days eating fast food then you should watch it. After watching this movie you start to think more about what fast food is about and about what consequences too much fast food can have.

The movie I am going to talk about it the league of the extraordinary gentlemen, this movie was made by Stephen Norringhton and was released in 2003. The league of the extraordinary gentlemen is also a book.

As the title tells us , the league of the extraordinary gentlemen, is a league of person who are unusual. They are seven different characters in this league and in their have all something impressive. The main characters of it are actually characters from other different books, there is Captain Nemo ( twenty thousand leagues under the sea), Alain Quartermain (King Solomon’s Mines), Mina Harker ( Dracula), Rodney Skinner( the invisible man), Dorian Gray ( the picture of Dorian Gray), Tom Sawyer ( the adventure of Tom Sawyer)and Dr. Jekyll (Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde).

When the movie start, the first character that we meet is Alain Quatermain, who lives in Africa for many years. He decided to leave Grand Britain because since his son died in war he did not want to have anything with it anymore. One day some come to Africa to see him and ask him to come back to Grand Britain, because there is a terrible danger , he first said no but after an attack in his favourite bar he decided to go. The man that asked him to come is the professor James Moriarty that they know has M. The professor explains to Quatermain that someone called the Fantome is attacking the country and he wants him to protect it. He so introduce him to all the other member of the league that he has to work with a vampire, an invisible man, a famous captain, a doctor, a man that cannot die and a secret agent from the USA. The adventure of this league is really interesting and also funny sometimes.

I decided to write about that movie because it is my favourite movie, i really love it. The characters are really interesting if you have read some of the book where they are from, you will really enjoy the movie because there story are almost the same. The character of Skinner is actually the funniest one, like we can see it in every single movie there is always a character that has the role of the “funny” one here it is him. I love every single moment in this story but if I had to chose one, I would say it is when Mina Harker and Dorian Gray fight because the vampires cannot die and Dorian neither except if he sees his picture, so i thing it is a really good moment because they can actually fight for eternity even if it does not end like that. I really advice every to look at that movie because it is actually really good movie, and i am sure that everyone will love it.

Dirty Dancing – A beautiful dancing movie with a huge success when it first came out which was in the 80`s. This movie is about a wealthy family going to a holiday camp during the summer. The family has four members, the parents and two daughters. One of the daughters falls deeply in love with a member of the staff, but unfortunately the staff is not treated very well by the wealthy families who visit the camp yearly. The young fellow she falls in love with is a dancing teacher who heavily relies on the money he earns while working in the summer camp. Therefore they have a few complications admitting their love because he does not owe the same money and status as the visitors in the holiday camp. Johnny, the dance teacher is very worried because of his dancer partner, who unexpectedly became pregnant and therefore needs an abortion to be able to continue her dancing carrier. The young girl, “baby” how she is called by Johnny, therefore asks her father for money to be able to help Johnny`s dance partner and pay the illegal abortion. After having the money she still needs to find someone who can replace her during a show which will be soon, because after having the abortion she will not be in proper conditions to dance. “Baby” volunteers but unfortunately she has no dance skills, therefore Johnny is obliged to teach her how to dance. This is the time period where they fall in love and to figure out who this story ends you should rather watch the movie, because it is a very enjoyable movie.

I enjoyed this movie especially because of the dance style which I found quite interesting. I was impressed by his dance skills in the movie and I loved to see the dance style of the 80`s because it made me realize how much dancing has actually changed in the past years. The songs are also very catchy and almost know by everyone. The most famous song is of course: “Time of my life”.

And I had the time of my life….
However if you don’t enjoy bad quality movies or old movies I can unfortunately not recommend this movie because it has been made in the 80`s where the movie styles where completely different. Another advice I give you is to watch this specific movie in your mother tongue because it includes some old slang which have made it for me a little more difficult to understand the whole movie.
Anyway, this dance movie has a beautiful story and if you find yourself bored someday and you have a little more than an hour, you would be kept entertained and have watched a classic under the dance movies of today.

Hello  today I’ll introduce the movie that I think good, it’s title is “Gradiator”

Gradiator is a history movie of the Hollywood production and shown in 2000. The production company is Dreamworks, and the supervisor is
Ridley Scott that produced “alien” and “Blade Runner.” The main cast is Russell Crow, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Oliver lead, Jai mon feces Sioux, Derek Jacobi and Richard Harris.

Now I’ll write about the story of this movie. The stage of this movie is middle of imperial government time of the Roman Empire. Russell Crow Rome admiral forces maxima decitrout Meledusu to play the part of is rolled up in discord of emperor Aurelius and Crown Prince Como do and loses a family, and oneself drops social position to a slave. Maxima promise revenge to Como and gain fame as the boloman who is one of the symbols of the Rome culture.

The work by the same author announced on May 5, 2000 gained big commercial success from the superior picture beauty and story. With the evaluation that was high from a commentator, I received reputation to win the 73rd Academy Award Best Picture Award and the 58th Golden Glove Award drama section Best Picture Award.

You should watch this movie, because this tells me that how did Rome people trited slave and shows a lot of action sceans. So you can know about the history of Rome and enjoy the movie at the same time.

Does the film is still relevant?

The film Planet of the Apes, based on the novel of the same name, was shot in 1967.C ‘is the story of Taylor and  his companions. Departed from the earth, they try to reach an intergalactic world with their vessels. Happened on this planet, they discover a tribe of very primitive man. Everything well past when a group of monkeys with guns come and capture our hero. He must prove his intelligence and because he is worthy of a monkey with this themselves. The film is not very faithful to the book but retains the outline of the story.

The costumes are pretty well done but what shocks most is the scene building. They are poorly shot and the text  is not natural at all. It is clear that the script was written and unspoken. But the ending still shocks and key. So the  question “is it that the film is still relevant? “I would say yes because the destruction of our planet is a  consequence of global warming or nuclear. Knowing this, the film is a critique itself against nuclear power and   technology. You really do not see this movie for fun because most movies are much better feel for the costumes and all that is special effects are much better.

I am going to be presenting the movie or the documentary “God grew tired of us”. I watched it a several days ago in Humanities class and I really enjoyed it. Basically it is about the war that happened in Sudan a long time ago. In the documentary they show how the lost boys travelled from one place to another, the hard times they had and other interesting facts. I personally thought that the movie is very emotional because it has many funny parts, sad parts and even interesting or informative parts.

The documentary starts with African music. Then the main characters are introduced and interviewed. These are the once who travel to the different places and experienced all these things. Basically after that, they show how the lost boys travelled from one place to another. So first they started of in Sudan and escaped to Ethiopia. There they spend several years in a camp, however they had to leave because of the government. After that they went through Sudan (because it was too dangerous) to Kenya. Then the main part of the movie starts, the trip to the U.S. There they experience many new things such as electricity, cars, shops,” American Christmas with snow” and many more. However it isn’t easy for them, they all have to find a job and earn their own money. The worst part is that they are so far away from their family, which in the documentary is a big problem.

I would really recommend this documentary. I personally don’t like documentaries but this one is really good. There are many funny parts but also many sad parts. What I especially like of it is that it is a true story.

Last week-end, I watched a really funny movie called “les Mythos”. It’s a french movie. It’s about three guys who worked in a supermarket and they have been fired. One of the three, called Karim, said that they need to get a work and he said that they can be bodyguards! His friend said that it was a very stupid idea because it’s not something easy and they don’t know anything about this work! But they tried! They went in many hotels and said that they were from a school in New York and that they were specialised in this work! Two real guards took them and threw them out of the hotel! The phone of one of the guards called Bob fell on the floor and karim pick it up and kept it!

However, at the same time, Marie, the princess of Belgium, wanted to change a region in Asia into a natural reserve, so she organised a charity sale in Paris. Her dad wants to protect her during that time, so he called on the phone of  Bob, the bodyguard. Karim answers and…………………

I liked this movie because it’s really funny and because the actors act very well plus the story has a meaning! I hate the stories that never has a meaning because after you don’t understand it! you should watch this because yo are going to laugh a lot and because if you have seen “bodyguard” it’s going to remaind you some of the things but it’s much funnier!

Another reason why I liked it it’s because there’s a mix of poor and rich people and at the end the rich people goes in the poor city! It’s also a movie with action so it’s not boring and I love the conflict. That’s also another reason why you should see this movie because the story is very

original.

For a conclusion, this movie is very very very very very funy and interesting and I LOVED it. You should like it! Please watch it because you will like it. And it’s a french movie so you can improve your french!

I’ve read a book called Moving Day by Meg Cabot. It’s the first book of the series Allie Finkle’s Rules For Girls. When Allie’s parents tell her and her brothers that they are going to move Allie just want to die! Allie doesn’t want to leave her best friend or her school to move to an old Victorian house!

I like this book because it’s exiting and a real page-turner. Allie does so many hilarious and weird things; one example is when she let her friend’s cat out. The cat was an exhibition cat and had never been outside before. Luckily the cat returned safely home after a while however it was extremely dirty and he fur was completely ruined. You can’t stop reading this book!

Another reason I love this book is because Meg Cabot is a fabulous writer. She has written over 50 books that have been translated to several languages. Some examples of Meg Cabot’s books are JINX (which I’m reading now), TEEN IDOL, THE AVALON HIGH SERIES, THE ALLIE FINKLE’S RULES FOR GIRLS SERIES, HOW TO BE POPULAR and several more! She writes books for kids, teens and adults.

I read this book while I was moving to Switzerland, which was a very good timing but even thought you’re not moving I recommend you to read Moving Day! It’s a extremely entertaining and fun book for girls!

Step up 2 is an amazing dance film. If you are interested in new, modern dance moves and good music you should really watch this movie. It is about a very talented young girl which participates in a crew called 104. But as she gets in trouble with the best friend of her mum, which now takes her of her and her little brother after her mum died, she will get send to her aunt in Texas. But then a good friend of her, Tyler, arranges that she gets cast for a dance school. She finally manages to get in there but on the other side she gets kicked out off her crew because she doesn’t have any time to practice with them anymore. So she and a friend whom she met at the dance school open a new crew. Everything seems to go well until her hold crew discovers that the opened a new crew. After some problems they finally get to participate in the most famous street dance competition: The streets.

I like this film because you just get in a good mode because of the good music. And they have actually amazing dance moves. This is not one of the normal boring films, this is something much more interesting and interesting. The love story the two main characters have seem to be so realistic much more realistic as in normal films. The main characters enjoy and have fun in their life even if they get through a lot of downs and ups.

You really should watch this film because of the arguments I mentioned above. This is the perfect movie to watch together with friends, just to have fun. If you want to learn some new dance steps or a whole new dance than you can try this out by dancing to the movie.

This month I watched a gorgeous movie called “The Knowing”.

The story begins 50 years before the present. In one U.S.A. school the director makes decision to do a time capsule. One class draws how the future is going to look like. But one girl called Lucinda does not draw anything. She just writes random numbers on whole page. When after 50 years one boy, Caleb, who is in the same school, gets that drawing with numbers, his dad takes that paper away from him. But he finds that those numbers show time, coordinates of big catastrophes and how many people died. Then he looks at the back of paper he finds that after few months there will be another catastrophe, but there is no coordinates, just two “E”`s. What those letters mean? Maybe Everybody Else?

I like this movie because it is very mysterious but also scary and can be rated for older children. In this film Daniel Craig is acting as Caleb`s father, so if the movie has famous actors, usually the movie is good. It is fantasy movie but also has a little bit of a truth in it.

I would recommend you this movie because it is very interesting and you cannot guess what is going to be next.
